A Job Safety Analysis is also known as a Job Health & Environmental Analysis or a JHEA. Job Hazard Analysis or JHA is another term used for the same assessment.
A job may have a Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS), a Risk Assessment or an Operating Procedure. However, these assessments usually get generated at a different time and place to where the action is carried out. They cannot cover the conditions at the job site when the job starts.
Each JSA is created on the job before work commences.
The analysis is automatically attached to;
- the job record
- the location record of the job
- the record of each worker carrying out the job.
A worker can quickly identify potential hazards, assess the risk and implement control measures.
Workers can easily create and sign JSAs
Using the Simple WorkSafe JSA wizard, workers can quickly create a JSA, then sign that they have read and understood it.
They log on to Simple WorkSafe and press “JSA Not Signed, and they’ll see all their unsigned JSAs.
When generating and signing a JSA, an email gets sent to the site safety coordinator. The coordinator can either authorise or not authorise work to commence.
Simple WorkSafe, through our many tools, can provide a high level of management to your health and safety system.
